ASERCOM will present the position of component manufacturers at the Stakeholder Workshop for Evaluation and Impact assessment for amending Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gas Regulation). The workshop takes place in Brussels at 6 May 2021.
The findings from the evaluation of F-gas Regulation, potential policy options for its amendment and initial findings from the impact assessment will be presented by the consortium of Öko-Recherche, Ricardo and Öko-Institut e.V. which are supporting the European Commission, DG Clima. ASERCOM will comment on the information presented and represent the industry point of view.
The workshop is part of the ongoing revision: Based on the results of the current consultations and the work of external experts, the Commission will draw up a joint evaluation and impact assessment to examine if and how it can further improve the Regulation in the coming years. A Commission proposal for a new Regulation is expected by the end of 2021.
