New findings on recirculating air conditioners and Covid-19
Chinese study warns!
A recent Chinese study urges restaurant operators to be careful when operating split air conditioners. As stated in a study reviewed by the ethics committee of the Guangzhou Center for Disease control and Prevention, pure recirculation air conditioners can increase the Covid-19 virus transmission by droplet infection or aerosols.
The comparatively new finding that the transmission of sars-CoV-2 viruses can also be transmitted by the tiny droplets (aerosols) produced when speaking or coughing is supported by the recently published Chinese study.

As a conclusion, the authors of the study recommend checking the position of the operator stations, increasing the distance between the tables and additionally ensuring a sufficient supply of fresh air.
