ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award in 2008 again

win 10 000 EURO for the top concept

Due to the high level of participation and its success in previous years the Association of European Refrigeration Compressor and Controls Manufacturers (ASERCOM) is proud to announce once again the sponsorship of the ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award 2008.

The association would like to recognize an outstanding innovative concept to improve energy efficiency. Energy consumption over the lifetime of refrigeration and air conditioning systems has a greater contribution to greenhouse gases than HFC refrigerant direct emissions. In Europe, for example, such systems account for approximately 14% of the overall power consumption. Hence, efficiency improvement is our industry’s primary responsibility in the reduction of emissions.

The € 10.000 award is granted for the most innovative energy saving concept or system in refrigeration/air conditioning, including heat pumps. An international panel of technical experts will evaluate the applications. Applications must present a new concept which is technically feasible and economically viable.
